During the Livestock Philippines Expo 2017 held at SMX Convention Center Mall of Asia on May 24, REFAMED was awarded by the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) as distinguished veterinary drugs and manufacturing company with facilities certified and conforming to international standards.
The award was presented by BAI through Dr. Marife Fe Cabullo, the Chief of Animal Feeds and Veterinary Drugs Division together with Senator Cynthia Villar, the Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Agriculture. REFAMED’s Sales & Marketing Director, Ms. Virgie Pagaspas and Ms. Nema Macatugob, President & CEO of Blaine Group of Companies accepted the said award.
The selection process in getting the award was done by BAI who made the assessment thru an Internationally Recognized Institution. The basis for the evaluation was the company’s conformance to the provisions of the International Standards Organization (ISO), particularly.
These were further assessed and validated by the Food and Drug Administration of the Department of Health after compliance to the requirements of Administrative Order No. 56 s. 1989 or the Revised Administrative Order No. 2012-008 s. 2012 or the Adaption and Implementation of the Pharmaceutical Cooperation Scheme (PIC/S) Guides for the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) for Medicinal Products.
Livestock Philippines is the Philippines' 1st International Livestock Nutrition, Health and Production and Meat Industry Expo which has developed an outstanding reputation as the Philippines' premier event for the livestock, feed milling and meat industries.
This event is supported by the Department of Agriculture which brings together thousands of decision makers including integrators, farmers, feed millers, pre-mixers, meat processors, slaughter houses, veterinarians, distributors, retailers and other industry.
